Terms of Service

These terms and conditions of service (Terms) apply to the services offered by FurBabies Grooming. By booking an appointment, you agree to abide by these Terms.

1. Definitions

The term 'us' or 'we' or 'our' or 'the groomer' refers to 'FurBabies Grooming' who is a provider of pet grooming services. The term 'you' or 'your' refers to the client who has booked an appointment with us.

2. Consent

You will be required to confirm consent for FurBabies Grooming to groom your pet in writing by completing and signing a Client Grooming Card on your first appointment.

By signing the Client Grooming Card you are confirming that your pet is fit, healthy and fully vaccinated. In the event that your pet requires a full clip-off or shave down due to severe matting of the coat, your consent will be required in writing and a De-Matting Form will be presented for signature.

Clients requiring full ear cleaning of their dogs, which includes hair plucking, will be required to either obtain approval from their vet or sign an Ear Cleaning Waiver form.

3. Prices

All prices quoted are in United Kingdom Pounds Sterling. We reserve the right to amend our prices at anytimewithoutnotice.E&OE. We currently accept payment via cash, cheque, bank transfer or PayPal (a surcharge of 5.25% will be addedforpaymentsmadeviaPayPal).

Our Grooming Prices vary and are dependent on the size of pet and condition of their coat.

An additional charge will be applied for severely matted coats that cannot be brushed out (a full clip down will be carried out to reduce the stress and discomfort of the pet in these circumstances).

4. PetCare

No pet will be subjected to stress or discomfort during grooming and all pets will be groomed in accordancewithTheAnimalWelfareAct2007.

If the pet shows signs of distress during grooming, treatment may be stopped and a grooming fee will be levied for the work done to that point.

5. Aggressive Behaviour

If your pet is known to be aggressive or attempts to bite the groomer, a muzzle may be used at the groomer's discretion to both protect the groomer and to prevent the pet harming themselves.

Dealing with aggressive behaviour will carry a fee in addition to the quoted groom fee.

6. Cancellations and 'NoShows'

Grooming appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are liable for charge to the value of the groom booked. Wherever possible an alternative time and date will be offered.

If you fail to be present to hand over or collect your pet at the agreed times, a charge may be applied tocovertimewaiting.

'No Shows' will be liable to a charge to the value of the groom booked and further groom appointments will have to be paid in full, in-advance.

7. Our Liability

You agree that we will not be held liable or responsible for irritation abrasion, patchiness or hair loss due to any pre-existing skin condition, or as a result of the process of de-matting, thinning, stripping or shaving or any other mishap caused by non-disclosure of your pets medical condition or behaviour.

If your pet harbours any parasites or your pets health causes concern, obtaining veterinary treatment will be at your expense and is not covered by us.

8. Full Groom Service

The Full Groom Service includes dead hair removal, two deep cleansing washes and conditioning bath, a warm blow dry, coat clipped and scissored to custom style, nails and pads trimmed and a gentle ear and eye cleanse. In addition a cute ribbon for your pets collar or a bandana, a treat and a spritz of pet 'paw-fume' is also included.

9. Teeth Cleaning

Teeth cleaning is not included in the groom price but offered as an additional extra.

10. Anal Gland Expression

Anal Gland expression is now categorised as a veterinary procedure and is no longer offered as a service.

11. Applicable Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of the supply of our services is subject to the laws of England and Wales.
